Lent

Ash Wednesday is quickly approaching, and the boys and I were discussing what they might give up for Lent.  Here are their suggestions:

Little boys think that they should give up:

• washing their hands
• time (then it's never bed time)
• 6:14 pm (inspired by the above suggestion of giving up ALL time)
• peanut butter and jelly sandwiches
• music
• our house (it's too old)
• the toys they don't play with
• Mom

I was really offended by that last one.  You really want to give ME up for Lent????  "Well, maybe not."  Gee, thanks.

I've decided that I will pick for them.
